As we’re making my way through April the gym has likely lost it’s “New Year’s Resolution” crowd, and those working out for Spring Break. I want all of my followers to stay motivated! While my certification is in Personal Training, it is important to remember how valuable nutrition is to your healthy lifestyle. Eating foods that your body needs, such as vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, whole grains, and plenty of water, will give you the energy you need to make it through your workouts and change your body in a positive way.
If you haven’t begun eating healthy, now is the time. Think about how much you can already do physically. Then, think about how much more you’ll be able to do once you fuel your body with the right nutrients. If you’re exercising to make up for what you eat, flip that mentality around: eat to nourish the body you’re taking to the limits. You will definitely come across people who do not understand healthy eating and simply think you are on a diet. You might find people telling you that you don’t need to lose weight and you’re fine the way you are. Remind them that you’re simply eating healthy, any changes that come from eating healthy are a positive side effect. Your family might be resistant to your healthy eating habits. Set an example that eating healthy nourishes your body. As long as you’re doing what’s best for you, it doesn’t matter what other people say.
